LAMTEC News Février 2019

LAMTEC is exhibiting again this year at the ISH in Frankfurt. The world's leading trade fair for bathroom, building, energy, air conditioning and renewable energy is the largest trade fair of its kind. We look forward to welcoming you from 11th to 15th March. We will gladly send you an entry voucher. Request to: info(at)lamtec.de

Your LAMTEC Team

LAMTEC’s TEC Center was launched in 2018 to create CODESYS PLC generated software solutions for customer specific combustion related applications not addressed in the standard CMS software. These are non-safety related project –based application requirements and reside outside the safety functions of the CMS such that no recertification of the CMS is necessary.

Global TEC Center will allow a database of custom applications to be developed. These solutions will be available to the network of TEC Center to use or modify to specific application requirements.
LAMTEC has appointed Andreas Gehrmann to manage the TEC Center concept. Andreas has more than 17 years of experience in industrial combustion technology. Previously he was employed at a burner manufacturer where he was responsible for electrical and technical design, programming PLCs and subsequent commissioning of oil/gas and dust plants.

Product Development from LAMTEC – New Gas Extraction Tube (GET) for HT and EX applications

For more than 20 years LAMTEC has been developing and manufacturing sensors and systems for combustion technology. The latest development is a new GET flue gas sampling device for use in hazardous areas and with high flue gas temperatures.

The new GET is installed into the flue by means of a compression-type fitting which is screwed or welded to the flue wall. Using stainless steel, Inconel and Kanthal, flue gases of up to 1,400 °C can be sampled. The new GET can be supplied in various lengths up to 2000 mm long.

The GET is equipped with the standard adapter for low dust loads of up to 0.5 g/Nm³ at moderate flow rates between 1-10 m/s. For lower airflow rates a T-adapter can be supplied to induce a negative pressure using compressed air to encourage flue gas flow.

Both adapters are available with heating and insulating jackets to prevent flue gases condensing out and causing corrosion or blockages.

The advantages at a glance:

  • Positioning/fixing of the GET using compression-type fitting, thereby allowing
    • Variable insertion depth for adaptation to
      • Critical temperature boundary conditions – enhanced heat dissipation
      • Current channel cross-sections
    • Adjustable rotary alignment angle to ensure optimum sample volume
  • Modular design of GET and adapter, thereby allowing
    • Temperatures up to 1,400 °C
    • Flow velocities up to more than 30 m/s and
    • High dust applications up to more than 2 g/Nm³
    • Easy dismantling for inspection, cleaning and replacement of flue gas-carrying components
  • Optional accessories available, e.g.
    • Heated standard and T-Adapter
    • Insulation sleeve for standard and T-Adapter
    • T-adapter with connections for
      • Blowing and/or injector acceleration

Further details can be found in the commissioning supplement (DLT3045). It is available for download here.
