LAMTEC was represented from 13.-16. November at the API* fall standards meeting “2017 Fall Refining and Equipment Standards Meeting Hyatt Regency Reunion, Dallas, Texas”. The meeting is to review equipment standards in the refining industrie.
LAMTEC presented the O2/COe monitoring equipment as well as flame detection and gas pilot burner systems for fired heater and SRU applications. We were very pleased with the response of the visitors.

 LAMTEC has been developing and selling sensors and systems for combustion technology for over 20 years. We are now adding an efficiency module option for the LT3 and LT3-F oxygen and COe analysers.
By adding a dedicated LAMTEC System Bus (LSB) module the customer can monitor: - ListenpunktThe current flue gas temperature
- The firing efficiency
The firing efficiency is calculated using the well-known Siegert formula. The fuel type (oil or gas) is automatically taken into account.
System requirements are: - 1 x LSB Efficiency module (Part number 657R5640)
- 2 x PT100 sensors for intake air and flue gas temperature
The new efficiency module has the same characteristics as our existing LSB modules. These include: - Simple DIN rail clip mounting within the LT3/LT3-F enclosure
- Space saving size
- Safe and fast connection to other LSB modules using jumper plugs
- Common supply voltage for all LSB modules
If required, the efficiency module, like all other USB modules, can be mounted remotely up to 500m away from the LT3/LT3-F.

With an ever expanding product portfolio and increasing internationalisation the cost of in-house and external on-site training has steadily increased over the years. Although this development is very positive the burden on both the trainers and organisation has increased significantly as a result.
