The LAMTEC Lambda Transmitter LT4, in combination with LAMTEC KS1D probes, is a microprocessor-based measuring device for universal use. Compared to the LT3 and LT2, it has an additional monitoring processor, secure digital and analog outputs, and control of the probe function test unit. 

The safe digital outputs can be used to monitor processes up to a SIL3 classification, while the safe analog outputs can output measured values up to SIL 2. The optional FTU function test unit contributes to the optimization of the SIL classification, and in this combination, the LT4 is also type approved in accordance with DIN EN 12067-2. The following overview shows the SIL classifications depending on the fuel and the LT4 configuration.

The LT4 can therefore also be used as a standalone device in combination with burner controls with the appropriate certification for control purposes. This transmitter was developed in conjunction with the KS1D probes. This transmitter is used with KS1D probes specifically for the simultaneous measurement of O2 concentration and detection of oxidizing gas components H2 and COe (CO/H2) in exhaust gases from gas and oil (EL) combustion plants in the over-stoichiometric range (λ > 1). The measured value COe represents a sum signal of all oxidizing exhaust gas components.
